Mike DeMaio has been an intricate part of Sound Explosion for the past 20 years. With 24 years under his belt as a DJ/MC/Event Design & Production Specialist, his experience shows in every event he performs at. Whether it be the most detailed wedding or luxury event to huge blown out corporate gala with thousands of guests, his talent and expertise shines through to make that experience precise, on point, and truly unforgettable, .

     

     Mike has had much success over the years Djing/working with thousands of clients including many brands and celebrities. Most notably Roger Waters(Pink Floyd) , Susan Sarandon, Tom Devito(The Four Seasons), Joe Piscopo, Danny Aiello, Q-Tip, Mario, Lil Kim, FunkMaster Flex, Angie Martinez, France Joli, Judy Torres, Kim Sozzi, Goumba Johnny, Bill Cunningham , Derek Jeter, Dennis Rodman, Plaxico Burress, Elvis Duran,  Boomer & Carton, Sukanya Krishnan and most recently Pitbull, The Chainsmokers, Shaggy.  He also had the honor of Djing the wedding for the mayor of Jersey City Steven Fulop as well as 2 back to back dates at the famed Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC for Holiday events for big name corporations Grey Group and Horizon Media.  Mike had also appeared on The PIX Channel 11 Morning Show twice as a guest DJ.

This past September 11th. Mike had the pleasure to Emcee "Chasrity Day" for Cantor Fitzgerald where he welcomed and introduced A list celebrities to the trade floor including Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Dave Portnoy, and former president Bill Clinton. The follow day Day he provided porjection mapping services for P Diddy for his official VMA's afterparty event.

 

Mike was also hand picked to entertain the cast & crew of the famed Broadway play Hamilton and Moulin Rouge among the 25+ events he performed at for the season! He is now going on his 4th straight year djing for the musical's holiday party.

 

     With Brands/Corporate clients including Rolling Stone Magazine, Maxim, Hermes, Michael Aram, Brooklyn Fashion Week, LIM College, Macy's, Dirty Girl Mud Run, Sephora, Lyft , S&P Dow Jones, JP Morgan Chase, Bear Stearn, Grey Group, Horizon Media, Oliver Wyman, Ernst & Young, FDNY, Detectives Endowment Association, ATU Local 726 , Colorwow, and many, many more.

   Mike has also teamed up with Mohegan Sun to market their brand at a The Belmont Stakes for the past 4 years.  The experience includes a transformation of a section of the stadium dubbed the "The Mohegan Lounge." The activation includes  custom carpeting, couches, cocktail tables, drapes, a Social Media photo sharing station and also features Mike DJing the event as well, which has given him the title as the "official DJ of the Belmont Stakes."  Mike produced the event along with his team, being involved in the planning, design, and execution of the entire activation.

 

At the 2022 Belmont Stakes, Mike once again produced the entire "nightclub" space which was triple the size! He also had the honor of opening up for DJ Pauly D of The MTV show "Jersey Shore" and warmed up the crowd playing the set just prior to Pauly. 

     

     Throughout the years Mike has had his fare share of nightlife DJing guest spots at some of the hottest nightspots in and around Manhattan including Pacha NYC, China Club, HighLine Ballroom, Hiro Ballroom, the pool at Fountainbleau Hotel (Miami) and Klutch (Miami) including weekly spots at Cellar Bar in the Bryant Park Hotel and Latitude which was the hottest afterwork party in Hells Kitchen at the time.

     Mike has focused all of his attention now into his true passion which is Wedding, Corporate & Luxury event entertainment, design, and production.  His expertise in these fields proves its worth with his clientele/partnerships growing each and every year.
